Outstanding Family Activity – “A” Division
Title: Repair and Refresh Kids Play Ship
In 2007 a local Boy Scout’s Eagle Scout project was to build a kid’s play ship for the children and families of our local parish. Over the years there had been little time available for maintenance, and the structure had become quite weathered. COVID provided the perfect opportunity to make the necessary repairs. One Brother power-washed the ship and repaired several major items. A local Scout Troop applied stain donated by the council, and another Brother Knight applied sealant to the ship. It is now ready for families again! The outstanding activity in the “A” division goes to Pine Cone Council 114, Bangor.

Outstanding Family Activity – “B” Division
Title: Food for Families
20 council Brothers, family members and parish staff conducted our 3rd annual Knights of Columbus Food for Families Drive in our parish during March of 2020. Our council collected donations from our worship sites and community. We are happy to have raised over $1,500 and collected over 250 pounds of food for local pantries this year. We look forward to 2021! The outstanding activity in the “B” division goes to Holy Eucharist Council 15791, Falmouth.

Outstanding Family Activity – “B” Division
Title: Holy Hour Prayer Services
One of our priests proposed hosting Holy Hour Prayer Services during the summer of 2020, eventually settling on a monthly event. This program rotates through the worship sites in our parish each month. At least three Knights and their families from our council participate, along with others in our parish and other councils. This has brought us closer together spiritually as we deal with daily challenges of the pandemic. We will continue to work for continued success through the pandemic and beyond. The outstanding activity in the “B” division goes to Bishop Edward C. O’Leary Council 13181, Sabattus.
