Project Description:
I volunteer with AARP’ s Tuesdays at the State House (TASH.) We track bills that have an impact on older citizens and advocate for legislation of interest to us. We often interact with legislators and also attend various legislative committee meetings. We also have a variety of guest speakers who present many interesting topics to our group.
Though related activities can span the calendar year, my personal involvement tends to occur during the legislative session that begins in January and ends in the spring. However, due to the Corvid 19 issue that is facing our State, the meetings at the State House have been suspended.
This report is being submitted early due to the suspension of in person TASH activities.
