Annual Christmas Party
Council: 114 - BANGOR
Pine Cone Council 114 celebrated Keeping Christ in Christmas Party on Dec 14th. The event started that morning with a crew of 12 Knights that helped in three areas, setting the tables for 100 people, decorating the trees and nativity and prepping the meal in the kitchen. The kitchen crew was cooking three turkeys and three hams, 35lbs of potatoes and a few pans of stuffing as well as rolls and drinks. The rest of the attendees would contribute dessert, side or salad dish as a pot luck. Admission was $5 per family to help cover the cost but allow large families to attend for a small amount. Also our religious and widows of Knights could attend for free. We had a band of four members and three of them were brother knights. The meal started after the 4pm Mass and the band was playing wonderful dinner Christmas music. After grace the meal began during socializing. Next we had a sing a long and finally Santa arrive. Santa handed out presents to all the children thanks to the parents bringing in a special gift for each kid. The evening ended around 8am and some left over food was brought to the homeless shelter. It was a fun way to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior!
