AUGUSTA POLICE VOLUNTEER (VIPS)
Council: 334 - AUGUSTA
I became a VIPS (Volunteer In Police Service) this past May when I suffered a torn rotator cuff injury. I basically entered dispositions from court cases into the current computer files. I began by entering recent dispositions but presently I am researching cases from the archives system and am entering the data into the updated files.
As a retired Augusta Police Officer who spent more than half my career as a detective and then as a records officer, I developed skills in researching cases and property/evidence. Due to demands on full time personal the work that I perform is valuable to the agency.
The actual time that I put into this project was 482 hours and 40 minutes. This will be an ongoing yearly project. The end date reflects the March report requirement.
