BENEFIT DINNER FOR ST MAXIMILLAN SOCIAL JUSTICE COMMITTEE

St. Maximillan as many Parishes suffers from dropping attendance and rising costs; therefore the fundraising committee is always looking for ways to raise funds with the Council assistance. During Lent the Knights Council #8144 supports various parish causes each Friday night. Over 12 knights and 10 school volunteers starting with Thursday night set up though the dinner the next night donated over 88 hrs make the haddock dinner happen. This week we had over 149 meals served. Donation to Social Justice Committee of the net proceeds totaled $498. In addition for every dinner, the Knights donate $25 to the parish kitchen maintenance fund to help with wear and tear and with electric/gas utilities. Total council donation = $523 dollars. The evening was full of good food, fellowship and fun!
