On April 16th, our council held a blood drive at the St. Ignatius gym, in Sanford Me. Leading up to the blood drive, a notice was put in the church bulletin for weeks, and red cross posters were posted all over town, we were prepared for a good blood drive. But mother nature had her own plans, on the day of the blood drive, we received 3 inches of rain, which kept many people from coming out. We ended up with only 10 pints of blood for our effort. Five of those pints came from brother knights from our council. The red cross people said, that considering the weather, it wasn’t that bad. We have anther blood drive scheduled for the fall, hopefully the weather will be good on that day.
