Helping out at Acton fair
Council: 13861 - SANFORD
Project Description:
On August 24 to 27th in the town of Acton Me., the knights of council 13861, were asked to help with selling tickets and parking vehicles at the Acton fair. This worked as a fundraiser for our council, because our council received 12.50 per person per hour. We were able to get many volunteers from our council, enabling our council to raise 852.00 dollars. With Acton being just a short distance from Sanford, many people from our parish and community were there, giving the Knights a chance to do some socializing and recruiting, simply by letting people see one facet of what knights do. A good time was had by all, and the knights are looking forward to doing it again next year.
