18 Brother Knights of Council 15791 and District DD were present in our meeting room, and Via Zoom on Tuesday 3 January 2023 for our January monthly Business Meeting. Because of the Covid-19 Virus, it was decided by our Grand Knight, to hold this month’s meeting via ZOOM, as well as in person. As part of the council business meeting, the Council Family Director made the announcement of the brothers who were selected for the month of January. The Knight of the Month Certificate was presented to Grand Knight Chris Madden. GK Chris and Family have been members of the Knights of Columbus for 9 years. GK Chris is a Third-Degree member. GK Chris and his Family are also members of Holy Martyr’s Church. GK Chris is also a member of the ACTS Team thru the Parish of the Holy Eucharist. GK Chris has worked on many council programs since joining us. GK Chris is a very dedicated Knight in his council and to the Parish of the Holy Eucharist. Our Family selected was DGK Auggie Scicchitano and Wife Holly for the month of January. DGK Auggie and his Family have been members of our council for 3 years, and a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1995. DGK Auggie is a Fourth-Degree Member, and a member of Assembly 3215. Brother Auggie is a Team Leader for the Council Vet’s Program and the Council Seminarian Program. wife Holly is a Home Maker and is looking to be involved in some ministries but is limited due to a chronic health condition that she has. She has (filled out the talent, treasures questionnaire from the church) DGK Auggie and Holly have three children, they have two sons and a daughter. First son attends Saint Anselm College (Manchester, NH); Second son attends Eastern Kentucky University (Richmond, KY); their daughter is still in high school. First son is a server and lecturer at St. Anselm Abbey, member of the Catholic Student Organization at St. Anselm, student bible study; Second son is a member of Catholic Student Organization at Eastern Kentucky University, student bible study. Both brothers selected for January are continually active both within the Church and the Community. We are very Blessed to have them as part of our council and Order. Also, as part of the Monthly meeting our DD paid us a visit. As part of the meeting our Lecturer Brother George Spino reflected on the passing of Pope Benedict. As announced earlier the yearly council dues statements have been sent out. Finally, the two sets of Sacred Vessels have arrived which the Council has purchased for the Parish. One set will be used at Saint Gregory’s Church and the other will be used at Saint Jude’s Church. The Pastor was very happy that the council was able to help with the purchase of these Sacred Vessels. Thanks be to GOD.
