Lights Out. 15791
Council: 15791 - FALMOUTH
Five council brothers and four parishioners worked with our priest in preparing for and conducting the Saturday Mass at Saint Gregory’s Church on Saturday July 6, 2019. About ten minutes prior to the start of mass a thunderstorm occurred and the lights went out at the church, and surrounding area. With directions from our Priest, our council brothers worked together to get some hand held lights so the priest and the reader could conduct the Saturday readings. One of the brother knights went to his truck and got some small head lamps for the choir members so they could lead us in song. Following Mass ,myself and one of the other knights helped our Deacon and Priest secure the church. The lights we were told would be off until 5:30 PM. Living close to the church I volunteered to check the buildings during the evening. I did find a couple of lights on in the hall and church so I turned them off. All in all the parishioners were very co-operative in following the priest’s instructions, and the Mass went off without a hitch. GOD was truly watching over us during this Mass and storm last evening.
