Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery Monument Cleaning
Council: 114 - BANGOR
On Saturday, June 12, Knight Jacob Marquis organized a group to clean the stone sign at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery in Bangor, Maine as well as a monument to all unborn children. The sign and the monument to the unborn were both previously donated by local Knights of Columbus chapters. Fellow Knights David Carmack and Walter Boguslowski assisted with cleaning efforts along with Jacob’s daughter Ava. At 8:00, the group started by scraping debris off the surface of the stones and out of the letters and graphics. Once that was complete, the stones were washed with water, cleaning solution, and brushes then rinsed thoroughly. The project was complete by 10:00.
