OCTOBER FAMILY OF THE MONTH

Project Description:
The St. Thomas Council, Knights of Columbus, have chosen the family of Patrick and
Adele Demers to be recognized as family of the month for October 2022.
The Demers family have been with this parish since 1963 in which they started off as
communicants at Notre Dame Church. Patrick and Adele have been happily married for
59 years and are proud parents of ten children: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter,
Michael, Daniel, David, Jean and Mary. They are also proud grandparents of 15
grandchildren. We’re looking at a truly impressive Catholic family!
Patrick, a retired Pharmacist, is one of the founders of St. Thomas School and has
served on the St. Thomas School Board for several years. He talked to young persons
about drugs on several occasions. Patrick also served on the Notre Dame Parish
Council. Patrick is currently serving as an altar server. Adele is a St. Thomas School
library volunteer and works the funeral lunches. Adele is also a lector and is involved
with the Rosary Group.
Both Patrick and Adele were involved in the marriage preparation program and CCD.
They have also performed much Pro-Life work. From 1996 thru 2006 they lived in
Virginia where they performed Pro-Life work with Fr. Max
The Knights of Columbus proudly presents the Family of the Month for October 2022,
the Demers Family, a family united in living their faith together. We are blessed to have
them in our parish!
