Our final exemplification of the initiation degree
Council: 114 - BANGOR
On January 26, 2019, Pine Cone Council #114 conducted its final exemplification of the initiation degree, inducting two new members into our order. Beginning in March, Council 114 is excited to be embarking on the new Exemplification of Charity, Unity and Fraternity, which encompasses the former 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree ceremonials. The team members took the opportunity to say good-bye to the old ceremonial along with the props and setting that have been close to us for many years. It was exciting and sad for the team at the same time. Team members did an excellent job of exemplifying the virtue of charity for the new members, and they expressed thanks for the effort the team put in to making it meaningful. We were pleased to have our chaplain, Rev. Frank J. Murray, participating in the ceremony. Father is a strong supporter of our council and we have a wonderful working relationship with St. Paul the Apostle Parish, where Father is the pastor. Also in attendance were the state membership director and the state warden. Following the ceremony, all participants shared light refreshments before departing for the rest of their day.
