Parish Painting - Yet Again
Council: 114 - BANGOR
While the Parish Office personnel were sitting around the conference table, they decided they would like to mount a large screen television on the wall to be more able to participate in live streamed broadcasts, Zoom sessions in the office area. Tim McKay the maintenance manager did not waste anytime contacting the Knights, and asking if they would paint the conference room walls in preparation for the new wall mounting and television being installed. This call was on Monday March 27th, four days later the four Knights arrived at the Parish Office at 9 am and began painting the walls and trim, the large conference room was totally painted and the area cleaned up to.include everything picked up, paint brushes and rollers cleaned the carpets vacuumed and all the furniture returned to the room and properly placed.
In all the task took just three hours as four painted worked harmoniously with soft music and a lot of talking in a large number of topics, one of which was the up coming 4th Degree Exemplification that we where hosting in May, 2022.
The Knights have painted a lot over the past year within the Parish Community, there are 13 buildings within the parish, and there is no danger in running out of places to paint. It also appears that the staff at the Parish Office has no problem asking us for assistance. A great combination and unity of purpose.
Just one way in our efforts as Knights of Columbus helping “Build up the Church”.
