Respond to a Maine mom of a child with many health issues. 15791
Council: 15791 - FALMOUTH
Our Council Faith in Action Director assumed the council lead on a Maine mom’s request of a child with health issues. The below request took place on December 5, 2019 in members private homes. After reading the news story of a Maine child needing his spirits lifted on his 13th birthday, our Faith in Action Director put out a message to the Grand Knight, Deputy Grand Knights and Financial Secretary and requested their support in allowing him to send out a Birthday card from our council to this needy child for his13th birthday. His mother put out a plea to all that if we could send a birthday card his way it would really be appreciated. She felt this would make his 13th birthday an Extra Special one. She stated in her write-up that her son, JC, has autism, epilepsy, and other serious health issues. He’s been looking forward to a his party when he turns 13 on Dec. 7, 2019. Because of his health, it’s not possible. Instead, his mom is hoping he receives MANY birthday cards. Following my conversation with our Grand Knight he sent out the information which was on line to all our council members. He requested their support for the child, by sending him a Birthday Card as well. We are praying for him, and hoping that he gets many cards sent to him. GOD performs miracles daily. Lets hope this is another of those LARGE miracles.
