Respond To Help A Parishioner With MS. 15791
Council: 15791 - FALMOUTH
Ten Council Brothers, our Pastor, and Susan the lady in need, helped, and supervised with the heavy moving at the Susan’s home on 4 December 2021. Following a request for help from Susan, our Pastor, and the Knights of Columbus of the Parish of the Holy Eucharist, we spent 3 hours moving furniture, organizing her garage, clearing up some wood, covering a canoe, and a couple of other tasks that she needed done. She was extremely appreciative of the help and told me many times about how elated she was that we were willing to come out and help her. The reason for this request was this Parishioner is living with Multiple Sclerosis,’ and was not able to move her heavy belongings, and furniture. Thanks to the entire crew who used their excellent engineering skills, we were able to figure out how to get a 250 lb solid wood armoire through a small doorway and into the garage! That was some crazy engineering feat for sure! Three Brothers not present in the taking of the attached photo were our Pastor, and two awesome Financial Secretaries past and present, Frank Knight and Jonathan Fuller. Our Deputy Grand Knight is holding Susan’s confirmation photo from Lisbon Falls when she grew up there many years ago. As Team Leader I want to Thank again all, for the incredible turnout of brothers and their willingness to help a widow in need. This is the reason I became a Knight, and it makes me proud that we were able to help. With our Lord’s help and guidance, we were able to complete our task safely for Susan.
