Rite of Profession. 15791
Council: 15791 - FALMOUTH
Myself my wife, members of our Order and guest participated at a Rite of Profession at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and Hall on Friday August 9, 2019 for one of our newer members. As a knights council member, my wife and I have also been members of the Secular Franciscan Order for the last 9.5 years. During this time we have had the pleasure of witnessing the Rite of Profession being conducted on three new members. The rite is used as a permanent and definitive commitment of the candidate. The rite is celebrated during a Mass because of the nature of the permanent commitment as a public and ecclesial act, and is closely tied to the celebration of the Eucharist. Last evening the Pastor of Our Lady’s Church presided over the ceremony along with the two resident Deacons who are also members of our fraturnity. Each ceremony my wife and I attend is very Blessed to us as Professed members, and a Knights of Columbus Family. Following the ceremony refreshments were available for all to enjoy. The LORD is GOOD. Thanks be to GOD.
