St Joseph Parish Food Pantry

3 Knights of Columbus assisted the St Joseph Church Food Pantry on June 22 and 23. On June 22, 4th Degree Knight Tom Leonard and 1st Degree Knight Joe Balchunas assisted by unpacking the Good Shepherd Food delivery truck and storing the food in the basement of St Joseph Church. These Knights also assisted in packing boxes which would be distributed to clients the next day. On June 22, Tom worked 3 hours and Joe worked 2 hours. On June 23, 4th Degree Knights Tom Leonard and Peter Glyn, and 1st Degree Knight Joe Balchunas assisted the St Joseph Church Food Pantry in distributing boxes to clients, as the clients drove through, complying with Coronovirus regulations. Approximately 22 families received food boxes packed with dry goods, canned goods, cereal, bottled water and frozen meat. That day, Knights Joe Balchunas and Peter Glyn each worked 4 hours, and Tom worked 3 hours. 8 other parishioners also participated in the food packing and distribution. The St Joseph Church Food Pantry serves clients coming from Bridgton, Harrison, Fryeburg, Naples and Casco.
