Viewing Of The UnPlanned Movie. 15791

Council: 15791 - FALMOUTH

Project Description:

Two council brothers and their wives viewed the Unplanned movie at the Cinemagic in Westbrook on Friday April 12, 2019. If you are not aware about the movie Unplanned, please make every effort to watch it, the movie is about the history of Abby Johnson. Abby was the youngest Planned Parenthood clinic director in the nation, she was involved in upwards of 22,000 abortions and counseled countless women about their reproductive choices, until the day she saw something that changed everything. The more of us that watch it the longer it will stay in the movie theaters and more people will know what the “choice” really is. To us this was a powerful movie, extremely informative yet difficult to watch at times. Excellent acting by all. This movie had both sides of the pro-life/pro choice debate with facts incorporating an honest reality. This movie didn’t point fingers or judge those who have had abortions but instead represents those who have a difficult choice ahead of them. It also doesn’t attack or judge those who think they are doing good by working there. Unplanned does have some references to religion but is not a religious movie. Many memorable points were made. Everyone should watch at least once with an open mind and heart. Be prepared to challenge what you have been told as this movie is based on a true story and the book Unplanned by Abby Johnson who worked at Planned Parenthood.
