Family and Knight Certificate Presentations.
Council: 15791 - FALMOUTH
Project Description:
20 Members participated in the presentation of October’s Family and Knight Certificate presentation at Holy Martyr’s Church Meeting Room October1, 2024. This month our Family of the Month selected was our council Warden Brother Ulrich M.C. Amoussou-Guenou and his Wife Caroline. Brother Ulrich and his Family have been members of our council since January 30, 2014. They have three children two girls and a boy, and are members of Sacred Heart Church in Yarmouth. Since 2020, Brother Ulrich has been the Council Warden. Brother Ulrich participates on many of our council events, and programs. Wife Caroline is an office worker and volunteers with the young children during the Sunday Mass at Sacred Heart Church. This Family is a very Faith Filled Family. Caroline is a big supporter of her husband being a Knight of Columbus with events, and does help occasionally when available. The Knight of the Month selected is one of the council’s newest 3rd Degree members, Brother Edward Lechner. Brother Ed puts in a high level of energy when it comes to being a Brother Knight. He currently is one of the Usher’s at the 8:30 AM Mass at Saint Gregory The Great Church in Gray on Sunday. Brother Ed will do any job asked of him. He was a great find for Council 15791.
September Monthly Business Meeting.
Council: 15791 - FALMOUTH
Project Description:
Twenty members and visitors attended our September Business Meeting at Holy Martyr’s Church in our meeting room on Tuesday September 1, 2024. This month was once again a very busy meeting. This evening we had as a guest our District Deputy who shared news from the state and answered a number of questions. We also had as our guest our newest e-members, and a potential new e-member who was brought in by one of our council members. With any luck we will receive the funds check from our Tootsie Roll Drive, so it can be presented at our next months Business Meeting to the council chosen recipient. Coming up next is our annual Coats for kids Drive and toward the end of the month our Council sponsored “Novena for Life Rosary for the Un-born.” The Family and Knight of the month was also announced. With the loss of three of our senior officers just recently, due to them moving to other locations Council 15791 has a new leader who has stepped up and is doing a good job with the help of the council members and our District Deputy. Oh yes, we must not forget the help from our Lord our God.

Meet and Greet Session 2 at Sacred Heart Church.
Council: 15791 - FALMOUTH
Project Description:
Nine council members and two visitors met at Sacred Heart Church in Yarmouth on Sunday September 22, 2024. As was in our First Meet and Greet session we had at Holy Martyr’s we had a group discussion with the attendees and handed out several items covering the Knights, programs, the insurance programs, etc. There was a lengthy Q & A discussion on what our Knights do within the Parish of the Holy Eucharist and the Community. Unfortunately we had a small turn out of Catholic men attend this session. But on the flip side today I assisted one of our visitors in signing up on line to be a new e-member. Our next Meet and Greet will be held at Saint Gregory the Great Church Hall. Date and Time to be announced later. Thanks Be To GOD.
Replaced Faded Flags at Saint Gregory's Church.
Council: 15791 - FALMOUTH
Project Description:
One of our Council Veterans and the church maintenance man purchased and replaced the flags at Saint Gregory The Great Church. Since this veteran and brother of this council purchased the flag poles for the Church, they have been maintained by this Brother Knight. We must keep our Faith and Support in being a citizen of this country, and members of the Parish of the Holy Eucharist. The flag of the United States is the nation’s most widely recognized symbol. Within the United States, flags are frequently displayed not only on public buildings but on private residences. The flag is a common motif on decals for car windows, and on clothing ornamentation such as badges and lapel pins. Owing to the United States emergence as a superpower in the 20th century, the flag is among the most widely recognized symbols in the world, and is used to represent the United States and its’ people. Keeping our Flag bright and new makes us feel proud to be an American, and a citizen of the United States of America.
