Council: 2851 - LIMESTONE

Project Description:

On 4 June 2024, Brother Knight Fred Pelletier asked the Council to spearhead a project to replace the cemetery gazebo as the current one is unsafe and unusable. The Knights approved and brother Mark Bourgoin (Program Director) asked for donations at the 11 AM Mass on 9 June. $2,200 was raised that day with the primary donation of $2,000 going towards a memory of a loved one. Fred started the project, purchased the necessary supplies and began the work. Over the couple of months, the gazebo was taking shape. The Council received regular updates as to construction and the expenses. The project was completed in early September with a total of $2,100 being expended and brother Mark took care of getting a sign made for the family that contributed the monies. (Photos attached.) Will ask our Parish Administrator to have the gazebo blessed after the 11 AM Mass very soon.

This money was donated to Council 15791 for our continued commitment to the ABBA Center reference the Baby Bottle Program. Since Council 15791 was formed we have participated in the Baby Bottle Drive in support of the ABBA Women’s Choice Center. Without the generosity of all those parishioners and knights, this donation to the ABBA Women’s Choice Center would not have been possible. Also, we must not forget the Good Lord, with his special touch for the needy babies and their parents.
