Project Description:

Pine Cone Council 114 has participated in the 40 Days for Life-Bangor campaign for 6 years. Our Council has sponsored every Wednesday throughout the campaign. We have filled nearly all of our Wednesday available hour prayer slots, sometimes with up to four people at a time! Sir Knights Rey Dubois and Geno Nardi are on the Bound of Directors for 40 Days for Life-Bangor, as is Rey’s wife, Annmarie. Dubois and Nardi presented organizational information and requested support at council meetings in Bucksport and Old Town, in addition to their home council, Bangor. Prayer participants included 23 Knights from Bangor, Bucksport, and Old Town and 9 of their spouses. Total Knight man-hours increased 27% between 2018 and 2019… and total man-hours during the 40 day campaign increased by 64%, between 2018 and 2019! Brother Rey Dubois emailed members of the 40 Days-Bangor email roster each night before the following prayer day, seeking to fill the open prayer slots… with rewarding results! Many Knights attended Cast the Vision, Kick-Off Rally, Mid-Point Rally, and Final Celebration. Many Knights attended the Kick-Off Rally, where Matt Britton, General Counsel and Chairman of the Board of 40 Days for Life presented and challenged everyone to “Pray to end abortion!”
