50th Anniversary of the building of St. Joseph Church
Council: 11376 - BRIDGTON-FRYEBURG
Project Description:
Our Fr, McGivney Council 11376, Bridgton/Fryeburg Maine was pleased to support and host over 250 Parishioners to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the construction of our Church building name after our Patron Saint Joseph. A special Mass was said by our visiting Bishop Deeley of Portland, ME Diocese and attended by our own Pastor Fr. Ed Clifford and Assistant Fr. Arokia Prabu. Three former Pastors of St. Joseph were also present as well as many past Parishioners. A special altar was set up on the premises and a huge procession was held around the Church led by Bishop Deeley holding the Blessed Sacrament. Special prayers were led by the Bishop at the altar set up for this purpose. Following the ceremonies, the Knights held a hamburger and hotdog cookout with accompanying salads and desserts. It was a glorious and blessed day for our Parish. Our Council members were justly proud of our participation in planning and participating in this wonderful event
