American Red Cross Blood Drive
Council: 2219 - WESTBROOK
Project Description:
Westbrook Council #2219 hosted a blood drive with the American Red Cross on Monday, August 27, 2018 in St. Anthony’s Parish Hall from 12:00 Noon to 5:00 PM/ This is the second of three scheduled blood drives in 2018. Set up began at 10:00 AM with the clearing of the hall of all tables and chairs, then unloading the truck and preparing for the drive. Cleanup and resetting of the tables and chairs in the hall was completed by 6:00 PM. Our goal for the drive was to collect 25 units of blood. We had 9 donors scheduled and along with unscheduled walk-in donors we collected a total of 22 units of life saving blood. This was a very successful blood drive as the 22 units of blood collected can save up to 66 lives.
