American Red Cross Blood Drive

Project Description:

We conducted our annual blood drive in November with the American Red Cross. We normally host this event around Thanksgiving knowing that donations tend to be down around the holiday season and it also allows church members and area residents to express their thanks by giving of themselves. We held the drive from 2:00pm-7:00 and were able to collect 31 units of blood which met our goal. We had a donation of a sandwich platter from Subway to thank the Red Cross Staff and donors. The attitude of people who donate at our drive lightens everyone’s spirits and makes it a very enjoyable event.
