Annual Parish Family Outing at Saint Gregory the Great Property.

One Hundred and fifteen attendees, Knights, and their family members participated in the 2024 Annual Parish Family Outing at Saint Gregory the Great Property on Saturday August 24, 2024. For 11 years now the Knights of Columbus and their family members from the Parish of the Holy Eucharist have helped the Parish office team in the set-up, clean-up, manning the grill, and preparing the swimming area so it would be safe for the children and their parents and friends. This year there was a special event added. It was a Dunk the Pastor booth for a donation. There was never a dull moment at this event. It wasn’t very often that Fr. Cartwright was dry. All who participated in this event enjoyed themselves very much, along with Fr. Cartwright. The Parish sponsored scout troop also were present with a display which all enjoyed. They had made and purchased items to build small sail boats and answered many questions about their display. The cooking this year was done by the knights of our council. Deacon Dennis took time early Saturday morning to rake out all the debris from the kids swimming area. Many kids were in attendance, and enjoyed the water. One Council Warden brought a guest with him who was visiting for a couple of weeks. His visitor was from West Africa. He enjoyed himself very much. One of the ladies from the Parish Office was in charge of the games of Soccer, Bad Mitten, and Corn Hole. Right from set-up to break down all had a Great Time. It was nice to see the Team work which went on between the Knights of Columbus, and all who attended. It was also so nice to have a rain free event this year, Thanks Be To GOD. We look forward to conducting 2025’s Annual Parish Outing at Saint Gregory The Great property.
