Annual Summer Barbecue

Project Description:

On 8/18/18 we held our annual barbecue at St.Joseph’s Catholic Church, 225 S High St., Bridgton. This annual event was open to all in our community and was advertised locally in the paper (Bridgton News) and was put in our church bulletin in the weeks leading up to the event.

The menu consisted of: pulled pork, barbecue chicken, potato salad, coleslaw, corn bread and dessert and was priced at $12 for adults and $6 for children under the age of 12.

Net proceeds of $687.41 will go the Community of the Resurrection located in Otisfield. Our council has gotten to know the sisters over the years and truly admire and appreciate the work that they do. At last nights officers meeting it was decided to recommend to the full council body at our September 4th business meeting that we raise the $687.41 donation to $1000.

It was a pleasure and an honor to be a part of this worthly cause.
