St. Maximillan as many Parishes, suffering from dropping attendance, is always looking for ways to raise contingency 2funds. During Lent and beyond, the Knights of Columbus Council #8144 supports various parish causes. Over 12 knights and 5 parish volunteers starting with Thursday night set up though the dinner the next night donated over 64 hrs to make the haddock dinner happen. This week we had over 149 meals served. Donation to the Knights charities in next months will be a use for the net proceeds totaled $697. In addition for every dinner, the knights donate $25 to the parish kitchen maintenance fund to help with wear and tear and help with electric/gas utilities. Total council donation = $722 dollars. The evening was full of good food, fellowship and fun!
