St. Maximillan as many Parishes suffers from dropping attendance and rising costs therefore the fundraising committee is always looking for ways to raise funds. During Lent the Knights Council #8144 supports various parish causes. Over 10 knights and 10 school volunteers starting with Thursday night set up though the dinner the next night donated over 80 hrs make the haddock dinner happen. This week we had over 192 meals served. Donation to Boy Scouts of America in So. Portland of the net proceeds totaled $517. In addition for every dinner, the knights donate $25 to the parish kitchen maintenance fund to help with wear and tear and help with electric/gas utilities. Total council donation = $54 dollars. The evening was full of good food, fellowship and fun!
