Chamber of Commerce Breakfast

Chamber of Commerce Breakfast

02/20/2023

Council: 320 - JAY

Project Description:

Our pastor Fr. Paul has been leading the effort to make our parish hall, former school building, a self- sustaining facility which sees more use than just church functions. The building has been re-branded as the St. Rose Community Center and new signs have been installed on the outside of the building. Due to the publicity of the new signs being installed the local Chamber of Commerce inquired about use of the hall for their monthly meeting in May. The Knights wanted to be involved with promoting the use of the hall in this way and we offered to put on the breakfast for the May 6th meeting. Two members of the council came to the hall at 5:00 am to prep the breakfast casserole and coffee to be served at the breakfast. Our parish Social Ministry Co-Ordinator Stephanie Crowe also provided a blueberry French toast casserole. The breakfast went very well and chamber members were very pleased with the facility and the breakfast provided. They have since requested to hold their monthly meeting at the center and have been given a closet to store their supplies. This is another step forward in making the community center truly the center of community activities.
