Christmas Fair at Our Lady of the Rosary
Christmas Fair at Our Lady of the Rosary
Council: 13181 - SABATTUS
Project Description:
Each year the church hosts a Christmas Craft Fair in November, and a number of Knights actively participate in the setup, coordination, and management of the event. Brothers Bob Desbiens, Ron Tolini, and Justin Castonguay helped the coordinators, led by the wife of Justin Castonguay to coordinate the participating craft suppliers, set up their respective tables, organize and prepare food for the event and clean up when it is through. Planning and coordination begins months in advance and Brother Desbiens is active in gathering materials and supplies. Our Council also sponsors a basket of goods that is raffled off at the fair.
On the day of the event, Knights along with church volunteers arrive around 7 AM to begin the fair. Hot food is prepared and served by the Knights and volunteers. The fair wraps up around 3:30 PM with the Knights and volunteers cleaning up after.
The proceeds from the fair benefit Our Lady of the Rosary.
