CLEAN AND STAIN HANDICAP RAMP AT ST. JOSEPH’S CHURCH PORTLAND
CLEAN AND STAIN HANDICAP RAMP AT ST. JOSEPH'S CHURCH PORTLAND
Council: 11257 - PORTLAND
Project Description:
Brother Peter Rovnak purchased materials, wash the handicap ramp on one evening and stain most of it the next evening. The Third and Fourth evening is for final touch up and repairs. This ramp is 50-60 feet long, has a high level of traffic during the weekend Masses and receives much wear in the winter from shoveling and the application of salt and sand. It therefore needs to be coated every year. Our K of C Council stains the ramp each year in order to save the parish the expense of hiring a painter and to extend the life of the ramp. The ramp is now 25 years old and in great shape. Estimated cost to hire labor and get it painted is $500.
