Coats for Women with Disabilities

Project Description:

Wells Council former State Deputy Phil Lizotte contacted Springvale Council #2755 with an offer of giving bags of winter coats he had acquired from a local merchant in Wells to the council to donate. Financial Secretary Pete Auger picked up the coats in Wells and organized their distribution to be made to assist woman with disabilities in the local community. He contacted several providers of services including Waban Projects, Inc and Living Innovations located in Sanford to have the coats distributed to those that may need them at no cost. The coats were distributed in July and August and there are still some left over which will be distributed again near the fall.
