Community Red Cross Blood Drive

Project Description:

Our council sponsored this blood drive in conjunction with the American Red Cross. About 45 persons were listed on the appointment roster and no walk-ins were allowed. There was a staff of 5 performing the interview screenings and the blood draws. The council members performed the initial temperature screening and the identification check-in procedure, along with the opening and closing procedures. After accounting for the missed appointments and some unsuccessful donors, a total of 28 pints of blood was collected. We were thanked by the person in charge and will be planning another drive in the near future.
