Project Description:

Throughout the year, members of the Millinocket Council #680 volunteer time in the community to provide community service in various activities including driving people to hospital appointments at the local facility and facilities in Bangor, participation in nursing home and retirement home activities, assisting the elderly with home maintenance and other projects, making shopping trips and banking trips for shut ins, providing Eucharistic adoration to the sick and elderly, and providing assistance with various community projects such as the Library renovation project, the Christmas in Katahdin project, and the Katahdin partnership. These are all volunteer hours provided to various projects throughout the year to assist the elderly and provide less costly alternatives to Church and community projects. It is to fulfill our mission as service to one; service to all.
