Council/District Special Family Prayer Mass. 15791

07/09/2018

Council: 15791 - FALMOUTH

Project Description:

Twenty six Council Brothers along with a number of wives and children joined Ten Four Degree Honor Guard members from Portland, and Windham/Bridgton in celebrating a Family Prayer Mass at Holy Martyr’s Church on Sunday July 8, 2018. In working in the direction of establishing this Mass as a yearly event we were very pleased as to the turn out and the comments from some of those in attendance following the Mass. Our Program Director worked tirelessly to set-up this Mass with help from many area’s. This evenings Special Mass would not been possible without the support of our Pastor Fr. Daniel Greenleaf for allowing us to have this Mass at Holy Martyr’s, for Fr. Peter Kaseta in being our Celebrant last evening, to all those Brothers and their Wives and children who were in attendance, and took part in serving as Lector’s, Extraordinary Ministers, Gift Bearers, Choir Singers, and Usher – Collectors. This evenings Mass did have a Special Touch with the presence of the Fourth Degree Honor Guard from Assembly 337 of Portland, Assembly, and Assembly 3215 of the Lake Region Assembly of Windham/Bridgton, and our District #13 District Deputy Ray DiDonato. Prior to the Mass our Ushers handed out “The Gift of Fatherhood” booklets to those men who came to Mass. All in all it was a very successful event, and we are in hopes to have a meal following the 2019 Mass. Last evening Fr. Michael J. McGivney would have been very pleased. The LORD is Truly GOOD.
