Project Description:

Seven council brothers, their wives and parishioners participated in this years Council Family of the Year Presentation during the 4 PM Mass at Saint Gregory’s Church in Gray on Saturday December 8, 2018. Council members present were Deacon Dennis Popadak, Chancellor John Walkenford, Brother Paul Tracy, FS Frank Knight, Seminarian Joe Morsehead, DGK Joe Mathew and taking pictures was Brother Gerry Doucette. During the last three weeks our Deputy Grand Knight, Past Grand Knights and other Team members decided on the 2018 Council Family of the Year from Council 15791. This years winner is Deacon Dennis Popadak and Wife Beverly. With the 12 families we had to choose from, it was a challenge this year because so many of them have been involved in many areas of the church, community, family and council. Deacon Dennis has been a member of the Knights for 20 years and the Popadak’s have been married for 49 years. After asking Fr. Peter for permission to give this award out to them during Mass, Fr. Peter was very pleased to see it done at the Saturday Mass. Following the Mass fellowship and congratulations were given to Deacon Dennis and Wife Beverly. GOD was truly present this day for the Family of the Year from Council 15791.
