Eagle Scout project support

Project Description:

Our council had voted to support financially the project for Eagle Scout candidate, Edmund Couture, last year. We also did some research on the history of the Grotto on the grounds of St. John Church in Winslow, which is where his project was to be done. He had talked with our pastor about improving the condition of the Grotto and to construct benches to be installed there. He completed the project and earned the coveted status of Eagle Scout. I had the privilege to sit in on the awarding of this honor along with his family, his father is also a member of our council, and many friends and fellow Scouts. When he had the chance to speak, he thanked our council for our earlier support of his project.
