Council: 680 - MILLINOCKET

Project Description:

The Education Committee of Millinocket Council #680 met at the Association Hall to look over the scholarship requests received by the graduating sons, daughters, grandsons, or granddaughters of active Knights in our Council. The funds for these scholarships were obtained through memorial donations and fundraisers throughout the year. The purpose of these scholarships is to promote academic endeavors in the children of our active Knights and to show Council support for their pursuits. The first meeting was to look over the applications to determine eligibility. The second meeting was to distribute the available funds according to criteria established by the entire Council. These recommendations made by the education committee were then voted on by the entire Council at the June meeting. The scholarship recipients was announced at the Baccalaureate ceremony held June 6th.
