Fifth Annual Family Parish Picnic. 15791
Fifth Annual Family Parish Picnic. 15791
Council: 15791 - FALMOUTH
Project Description:
Ten council knights, their family members and a number of parishioners worked together in putting on the 5th Annual Family Week Parish Picnic at Saint Gregory’s Church parking lot and campgrounds on September 15, 2018. Joining us this day was many Families, and many children joining in fun, games, and great food was cooked and donated by the knights families and parishioners. This year the council had 10 members, and their wives help out during this fun filled event making the “Family Week for 2018” another success. Along with good food, plenty of great music which was played by two of our council brothers along with one of the parishioners from the Sunday choir at Saint Gregory’s. A number of kids and family events were offered this day including face painting. Brothers and their wives helped out where ever needed this day. On Saturday there was an early start to finishing the setup including the challenge of setting up a multi-burner gas grill and, by noon the hot dogs, hamburgers, etc, were coming off the grill. These items were supplemented by the potluck side dishes, salads and deserts. An estimated 135 people took advantage of the beautiful weather to spend time with fellow parishioners. No one left hungry, and all enjoyed the day very much. Fr. Michael J McGivney would have been very proud of his Knights and their Families.
