First Annual Consecration Of The Holy Family And Rosary. 15791
First Annual Consecration Of The Holy Family And Rosary. 15791
Council: 15791 - FALMOUTH
Project Description:
Forty Three Council Brothers, wives and parishioners set-up and participated in our First Annual Consecration Of The Holy Family Weekend. To help families live out the joy of Christ, our Pastor Fr. Daniel Greenleaf and the Parish Knights of Columbus sponsored a “Consecration to the Holy Family” prayer at each of the weekend Masses during December 29 and 30, 2018. In this prayer, we ask for the aid or intercession of the perfect son Jesus Christ, Mary the perfect mother, and Joseph who is a model for every father. Participating in the Consecration to the Holy Family is not a single event. It is choosing a way of life for your family. Through this Consecration, each participant is consciously choosing to be a beacon of God’s love through one’s Church.
Today’s families are diverse, but the one element which is sacred to all families is the call to love. Strong and faith-filled Families are the foundation for a healthy and holy community. May we all model ourselves after the Holy Family and ask for their intercession for holiness. Also conducted this weekend was the Rosary of Mary recited at Saint Gregory on Saturday December 29 at 3:30 pm, and Holy Martyrs in the Chapel on Sunday December 30, 2018 at 10:00 am as part of the event. We had a nice showing of Parishioners and Brother Knights for the Rosary, (48) Our heartfelt thanks not only goes out to Fr. Daniel Greenleaf, but also Fr. Peter Kaseta, Fr. Paul Marquis, our resident Deacon Dennis Popadak, and visiting Seminarian Joe Moreshead for all their help and support. In closing a special thanks goes out to the Parish Office Staff, and our Parish Parishioners for their help and attendance, by their participation this weekend. We look forward to conducting our Second Annual Consecration Of The Holy Family Weekend in 2019.
