Project Description:

One of our council brothers, and his neighbor decided to raise some funds for the needy in the Gray-New Gloucester, Maine area, during September 1 and 2, 2018. It was decided to clean-up the road side of bottles and cans prior to the Labor Day Holiday. With things getting more and more expensive, the poor and needy population becomes larger and larger. So with this in mind my neighbor pulled together a few bags, and volunteered to use his truck and we worked the main roads and the side roads in both towns, during September 1 and 2. Also on Sunday we stopped at a few small grocery stores and was very pleased as to what was donated to us. Late Sunday afternoon we stopped at the bottle redemption center and cashed in what we collected. We were very pleased to have collected $305.00 worth of bottles and cans. A check will be mailed to the local Food Pantry to help toward the purchase of much needed food. God is truly Good !
