Project Description:

Three council brothers, one of our Parish Priest’s, Family and Friends attended a Funeral Mass for a Servant of GOD, which was held at Saint Peters Church in Portland on 6 August, 2020. Members and friends of Saint Gregory’s were shocked to hear of the passing of one of our long time parishioners. In supporting the Priests and the Mass, there are many tasks which need to be performed each day, week and month. Our friend in Christ was a prime example of one who took the lead in several area’s in her Faith, while enjoying the closeness of being with Jesus, Mary and GOD.
Her time with the Church and her Faith included being one of the Sacristans at the 4 PM Mass at Saint Gregory’s each week. She also worked with the Rosary team at Saint Gregory’s and led the parish members in reciting the Rosary of Mary our Mother at least one Saturday a month prior to the 4 PM Mass. If there was a special request which came from the presiding Priest on Saturday, she would be right there to volunteer to help.
She was also a dedicated member of the Adoration Team which gathered on Friday mornings after the morning Mass. This lady will be missed not only by her Family but those parishioners who’s lives she touched with her smile, and kindness. May her soul now rest in eternal Peace with GOD.
