Furniture move/Donation to Pregnancy Center

Project Description:

A family from Madawaska Maine contacted the Knights of Columbus to see if anyone could help their daughter move out of her apartment after completing he college education here at the University of Maine in Orono. This family and graduate, did not want any of the furniture, it was their desire and wish that everything be donated to the pregnancy center on Ohio Street in Bangor.

Contact was made with the Shepard’s Godparent Pregnancy Center and it was decided that May 19th would be a good day to pick-up the furniture, and transport it to the pregnancy center garage, where it would be stored until one of the new mothers left the home to start up an apartment or whatever the need would be, furniture would be available to help them out.

The family and some friends helped with the move, and it made for an easy day, but so rewarding for all involved, such a generous gift to the pregnancy center.
