Project Description:

Maine Right to Life Committee’s Annual HANDS AROUND THE CAPITOL Rally and March was held January 12, 2019. It was attended by St. Anne’s Knights of Columbus Council 10221 member Rob Poissant and his wife Deb. This event is held annually to recognize and mourn the Supreme Court decision of Roe v. Wade. They attended Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10:00am and then meet at St. Michael’s School Gym to meet other Pro Life people. At 11:15am they attended the rally with Bishop Deeley and other prominent Pro-Life leaders from Maine. Then at 12:15p, the endured the cold and rain to march from St. Michael’s to the Capitol and assembled around the Capitol Hand-to-Hand. The Capitol bell was rung 46 times for each year since the Roe v. Wade was enacted.
