Project Description:

I and one of our residents came to the aid of another resident here at Meadowview on Wednesday February 13, 2019. Within the complex area for seniors we have 18 men and women who have serious medical issues. Last evening, I received a call from one of the women in Meadowview, and she stated she didn’t know how she was going to get to her Chemo treatment early in the morning. With no close family living near she considers each family here her Family. So, I told her we could use my vehicle and make her Chemo appointment in the morning. So, once we settled that I called one of the other residents in our complex and asked him if he could clean off her car and move it in the morning while we were gone so the parking area could be plowed out. So, on thirteen February we traveled to Portland and she achieved her next to the last treatment. At the end of February, she and an old school friend will be taking a cruise. Therefore, it was important for her to get to this treatment on Wednesday February 13, 2019. As a Knight of Columbus and caring complex residents, we made this ladies day complete. One thinks that Charity should come in the form of money. As a Knight of Columbus, we know that CHARITY comes in many forms. With the Lords help we made it in and back considering the condition of the roads this early morning. I am very pleased to be able to say I am a Knight of Columbus, and I am Blessed to have been able to help this lady out today in her time of need.
