Project Description:

Twenty one Brother Knights and Twenty One additional volunteers worked over a four day period providing meals in support of the St. Therese of Lisieux Parish Church Fair. Thursday we met to cook pork for pork pies, making the crusts from scratch, and assembled the pies to be baked Saturday. We also peeled 20 pounds of apples for the Apple Crisp. Friday we assembled to prepare and cook the Turkey, Squash, Apple crisp for deserts, and sanitize and ant the tables in the dining area. We began final cooking at 3, serving 174 meals beginning at 4:30. The meals consisted of Turkey, Mashed Potato, Green Beans, Squash, Bread and Butter, and Apple Crisp for desert.
Saturday we provide coffee and donuts for breakfast and cooked the pork pies and vegetables for lunch along with sliced ham for those who might not like pork pie. We also provided hot dogs, water, coffee, and lemonade.
Sunday we provide coffee and donuts.
Through these efforts we were able to donate $2290 to the fair.
