Holy Thursday Mass followed by two separate Dinners. 15791
Council: 15791 - FALMOUTH
Project Description:
Nineteen Council Brothers and several family members attended and worked the Holy Thursday Mass and Dinners this year in our Parish. For the Sixth year now we were asked by our Pastor to begin the Easter Season in support of our churches by putting on a dinner at Saint Gregory’s Church and Holy Martyr’s Church. Prior to the dinner, many of our council brothers and their family members participated in the Holy Thursday service by having their feet washed, to lecturing, to singing in the choir and bringing down the gifts and oils. Fr. Paul and Fr. Peter presented an excellent Holy Thursday Service once again this year. Nineteen Brothers and several wives participated in preparing and serving meals for some 270 Parishioners. The two meals consisted of a Boiled Ham Dinner, with green beans, red potatoes, etc at Holy Martyr’s, and a Boiled Ham Dinner, Chicken, with green beans, corn, red potatoes, etc at Saint Gregory’s. The preparations of these meals started early on Wednesday evening and finished up on Thursday with the serving of these meals. As in prior years many helpers including several parishioners allowed for a very efficient flow and all enjoyed working with one another and the Knights. Plenty of fellowship was had by all. All who attended enjoyed themselves very much. This day was very Blessed in more than one way, thanks to our clergy, parishioners and lastly our council brothers and their family members. God is truly Good.
