Project Description:

One of our council brothers, his wife and I, have continued once again this fraternal year in corresponding with our Seminarian and Council Brother. This process would take place in our private homes, Parish Worship sites, and our business meetings. As our Seminarian ends his time as a Deacon, his last and final step will be to be Ordained as a Priest in our Diocese. We have communicated in many ways with our Seminarian by sending him e-mails, birthday cards, Special cards during holidays, such as Christmas, Easter etc. We did have the occasion during one of our Seminarians visit here to install him as an Admission member of our council. There were also a few times when he would be here in the state that we would make time to visit with him. As a council we would always make sure that each and every card sent would be brought to the Council Business Meeting first and signed by those Brothers present. As our Seminarian ends his time in the Seminary, we now turn to the Seminarian list of candidates, and see which candidate we will choose to support in the coming year. As in the past we will turn to our Pastor for his guidance. We MUST as a Knights of Columbus Council keep our Seminarians on the top of our support list. Without the support from the Knights the Seminarian Program would not continue to grow in the State of Maine. GOD Bless our Seminarians and those who support the Seminarian Program.
