Installation of Christmas Creche for Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Joseph's Church, Portland

Project Description:
Our Council 11257 was the recipient of the Creche and its enclosure by one of the parishioners of St. Joseph’s Church in 1981 in memory of their parents with the hopes that the council would display at every Christmas season. It is indeed a precious work of art and the council has faithfully displayed it each year by members of council 11257 and prior to that members of Council 2983 in Portland. Every year families come to enjoy the Creche and admire its beauty and the story that it entails of the birth of our lord and savior, Jesus Christ. The creche figures are all handmade ceramics and the creche itself is made of wood with cement bases for each of the 4 pieces. Four of our brother knights assisted with installing the creche. The knights are also responsible for the removal, repair, and storing of the creche after the celebration is completed. The creche will remain lighted until after the new year.
