Project Description:
The St. Thomas Council organizes a Haddock Supper every Friday (except Good Friday) during the season of Lent. Baked Haddock, mashed potatoes, peas, macaroni and cheese, bread, coffee, lemonade and assorted desserts are served. Various Knights will purchase and prepare the main course. Volunteers will prepare the desserts, set tables, bus tables, collect table cloths and vacuum the hall, once the dinner is over. Knights will work in the kitchen serving the food and washing dishes.
15 Knights, plus 14 volunteers worked that Friday’s supper. 194 patrons were served that evening at $10 per person. A profit of approximately $972 was realized.
Proceeds from the Haddock Supper was presented to Waban Projects, Inc. at the Annual Waban Telethon on March 17, 2018.
